DPSIMUN 2026 introduces UN Women, the committee fighting for equality on the global stage! With women’s rights, safety, and representation on the line, delegates will confront hard truths, push for reform, and stand for those the world has ignored.
UN Women is the United Nations entity dedicated to advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls worldwide. As one of the UN's leading bodies on gender issues, it supports Member States in developing policies and initiatives that promote equal rights, opportunities, and protection for all. In this Model United Nations committee, delegates will engage in diplomatic debate, negotiate solutions, and draft resolutions addressing contemporary challenges affecting women and girls across diverse social, economic, and political contexts.
Guided by this year's conference theme, "Engineering Stability in an Age of Volatility," delegates are encouraged to examine how gender-responsive policies can strengthen resilience in the face of conflict, economic uncertainty, climate change, and technological transformation. Through constructive dialogue, collaboration, and evidence-based policymaking, participants will work toward innovative and sustainable solutions that uphold the principles of equality, inclusion, and international cooperation, while contributing to a more stable and equitable global future.

"It is my honor to welcome you to the UN Women Committee at the 2026 Model United Nations Conference. My name is Paul Obaseki, and I am proud to serve as your Chair. With six MUN conferences behind me, I have seen how these gatherings spark not only debate but also friendships, creativity, and a shared drive to make change. This year’s theme, “Engineering Stability in an Age of Volatility,†challenges us to think boldly about how women can lead resilience efforts in times of conflict and climate stress.
